Artist Bio

Sophie Gargan is a contemporary dance artist from Taranaki, Aotearoa. Gargan is fascinated by the dancing body and the ever evolving contexts in which it can exist as a vessel of exploration, connectivity and discovery. She likes to experiment with the way her formal training can be abandoned and rediscovered in new modes, e.g performance art, sculpture, film, sound and writing.
